EnerSys has been honoured for its work in battery recycling and environmental preservation.
The US-based company was awarded a 2016 Leaders in Sustainability Award from the non-profit Call2Recycle Inc., which champions a battery recycling programme that encourages consumers to recycle batteries at nearly 30,000 drop-off points across the US and Canada.
President of EnerSys Americas Jeffrey Long said: “We take our commitment to environmental and social responsibility very seriously. We’re honoured to be among the leaders in battery recycling throughout North America.”
