Energy technology company Enapter received orders for its megawatt-class electrolyser, including its biggest ever single European order.
It said it will supply three multicore-class units, each with a 1 MW electrolyser, to Italian logistics company CFFT. It operates a harbour near Rome and will use the hydrogen-generating electrolysers there in a hydrogen refuelling system. It will be operated with sustainably generated electricity. This is its largest ever single order from Europe, the company said.
Another Italian company, F.i.l.m.s, has ordered a 1 MW Enapter electrolyser in the multicore-class. It is a metalworking company in the OMCD Group and specialises in hard metal parts. It uses conventional hydrogen in its production processes, which it previously bought in.
The company will be able to produce green hydrogen from renewable energy with the electrolyser and feed it directly into its gas mix for the furnaces. F.i.l.m.s plans to gradually replace natural gas with green hydrogen.
Enapter said the two Italian contracts have an order volume in the “upper seven-figure euro range”.
